PTF and PSE Canvassing Going Live in eReassign 2/1/22

Please be advised that Step 7 of the MOU and Section B.2 on Filling Clerk Craft Residuals and PTF vacancies is now going to be available on eReassign. I need to stress that this is the last Step in the MOU and does not have any effect on the regular monthly 21 day postings of Clerk Craft residuals and PTF vacancies in regular eReassign. Since 2014 there have been ongoing issues with not all the canvassing opportunities being share in all installations. This posting in eReassign will now take this step out of the hands of the individual postmasters.

Our PTFs and PSEs will now have access to the canvassing process in eReassign beginning 2/1/22. Attached is a copy of the mandatory stand-up talk that is being distributed to all bid clusters nationwide.  Canvasses will open on the 1st and 15th of each month and will remain open for 10-days.  Employees are to use their EIN and password to login to eReassign.usps.com, then look for My 50-Mile Canvass. If offices are posted within a 50-Mile radius of your current office, then you will be allowed to apply for that canvass.  If there is an opportunity within a 50 mile radius of the current office, then the PTF and or PSE will be able to apply and then be required to follow the remaining steps in eReassign to complete the process.

The above canvass process is based on the current 2018 CBA language of the MOU on filling residuals found on page 374. Any changes that may be required based on the proposed ratification of the 2021 CBA will be addressed and corrected at the appropriate time.

Below is a downloadable document that will walk you through the process.

LiteBlue: A New Look

(This information comes from USPS LINK: https://link.usps.com/2021/09/14/whole-new-liteblue/)

Whole new LiteBlue

LiteBlue has a new look and features as part of an extensive redesign that creates an improved user experience, particularly for those who view the website using mobile devices.

The redesign — LiteBlue’s first major overhaul since 2004 — debuted Sept. 14.

An important resource for Postal Service employees, LiteBlue can be accessed from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection and offers a range of information, including news, information and links to frequently used applications.

To use the site, employees must log in with their ID number and password.

The site has been redesigned to be responsive, so that it adapts to being easily viewed on both computer and mobile device screens.

Mobile device users make up a large portion of LiteBlue users.

Of the 106 million total page views LiteBlue received last year, approximately 81 percent were on mobile devices. Most viewers (73 percent) used iPhones.

The new LiteBlue homepage has been designed with user-friendly features, including several sections:

• Human Resources, which includes links to frequently accessed pages;

• Employee Apps, which links to regularly used applications;

• Featured Topics, which links to new or frequently visited content;

• Area Updates, which links to the latest employee newsletters; and

• Workforce Community, which highlights employee special deals, information security, employee engagement and more.

The site also features a Resource Index to help employees easily find information and services.

Other improvements include Apps, which provides access to frequently used applications; Home, which provides access to regularly used pages; and My HR, a tab featuring Human Resources information, which will be redesigned soon.
