APWU Tentative Contract

If you have been keeping up with our National news and information, you would have read that a tentative agreement was reached on December 9th and, in accordance with the APWU Constitution, was presented by the National Negotiating Committee to the Rank & File Bargaining Advisory Committee. On December 10th, the Rank & File committee unanimously approved the Tentative Agreement for a ratification vote of the members. The Tentative Agreement has the unanimous approval of the National Negotiating Committee and the support of the National Executive Board.

There’s still another process before the contract becomes “active” – ratification. The entire membership must vote to accept the new contract language. This is an import part of being a Union member. The voting ballots are being mailed by the National. If you have not gotten it, it is on the way.

Attending the General Membership Meetings is an important part of being a member as well. You get the opportunity to be informed about what is going on throughout the local and some National information as well.

Our first meeting for 2022 will be: Tuesday, February 15, 2022 @ 7 PM.

Location:      American Legion Edwin I Johnson Post 370
                          370 N. Warwick Road
                         Magnolia, NJ 08049

Below is the summary of the tentative new language to the contract that needs ratification.
