SUBJECT- POSTAL PULSE SURVEY

Dear Members,

It has come to our attention that the Postal Service is re-administering the Postal Pulse survey for Fiscal Year 2023.

This is a reminder that the policy of the American Postal Workers Union is that employees should not participate in this survey. Surveys have been used against the APWU in bargaining and have not produced any real change in the Postal Service.

Employees are not required to participate in this survey no matter what their supervisors or managers may say.

The South Jersey Area Local is encouraging all of our members to BOYCOTT this survey.

We will be collecting unopened surveys from our members and will be having a raffle at the next General membership Meeting in September for all members that turn in their unopened ballots. We will be giving out two $50 prizes. All you have to do to enter is give you unopened ballot to your
steward or mail it to our office at the address above. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at any time at 856-228-8090.

Flight Attendants Pledge – We’ve Got Your Back

In a wonderful act of solidarity, the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA – at the direction of their President Sara Nelson – produced a video to educate flight attendants and other workers about the importance of the public Postal Service.

The video features 2018 APWU Convention delegates speaking about the importance of the people’s Post Office and the need to stand in solidarity against postal privatization.

Please watch this video and share with your family, friends and coworkers!

In Union Solidarity

Labor Walks

Sisters and Brothers, we in New Jersey have to get out and get involved in the Labor Walks to get the vote out.  The New Jersey AFL-CIO tells me that while they have had great participation from all the Unions, the APWU has not been at any of the Labor Walks.

Attached is the listing of location from which walks are going to take place from each Saturday morning until election day.  Please, Please join with me in the Labor Walks, find the one near you neighborhood and get out there and get the vote out.  We will only have ourselves to blame if our candidates are not successful.

A number of you attended the meet and greet with 3rd Congressional candidate Andy Kim at my office last week.  Let’s get him and other progressives elected.
