Secret Ballot Vote at the Next General Member’s Meeting

In the last General Member’s Meeting, it was brought to the attention of the members that our local received a request to merge with a MAL. A secret ballot vote, Member-at-Large (MAL) Merging with an Area Local, will be conducted by the South Jersey Area Local #0526 at the date, time, and location indicated below.

Date: November 20, 2018
Time: 7 P.M.
Location: American Legion Edwin I Johnson Post 370
370 N. Warwick Road
Magnolia, NJ 08049

The above-mentioned votes must carry a majority, vote fifty {(50%) percent plus one (1)} of the members present and voting at the membership meeting.

On the question of merging the Rosenhayn Office MAL of the American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO (APWU) with the South Jersey Area Local, APWU as per the existing Constitution and Bylaws of the South Jersey Area Local, APWU.

Labor Walks

Sisters and Brothers, we in New Jersey have to get out and get involved in the Labor Walks to get the vote out.  The New Jersey AFL-CIO tells me that while they have had great participation from all the Unions, the APWU has not been at any of the Labor Walks.

Attached is the listing of location from which walks are going to take place from each Saturday morning until election day.  Please, Please join with me in the Labor Walks, find the one near you neighborhood and get out there and get the vote out.  We will only have ourselves to blame if our candidates are not successful.

A number of you attended the meet and greet with 3rd Congressional candidate Andy Kim at my office last week.  Let’s get him and other progressives elected.
